Giving Back

In addition to maintaining her Palo Alto Plastic Surgery practice, Dr. Linda M. Waters, is active in charitable organizations that provide reconstructive surgery to people in need. As a volunteer she has performed reconstructive surgeries in Uganda, Kenya, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Jamaica. She has worked with children with cleft lip and palate deformities, burn victims, and adults who have suffered disfiguring injuries. She is active in sending donated surgical supplies to hospitals in East Africa.

Dr. Waters participated in the Matibabu/Tiba Foundation for four years. She travels to Kenya to perform surgical procedures on a volunteer basis. She has another trip planned for the end of this summer in Africa with the Matibabu Foundation. Dr. Waters also participated in the Faces of Hope program, through the Rotary Foundation, where she traveled to Antigua and Guatemala in 2008 to do cleft lip and palate correction procedures. She has also worked with Interplast.

Dr. Waters also donates surgical supplies to Kitovu Hospital in Uganda every year.
